Ryan Chen is a second-year doctoral student in Management Science & Engineering at Stanford University and recipient of the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. His current program advisor is Prof. Warren Hausman. He previously graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan with bachelor's degrees in Industrial & Operations Engineering and Euphonium Performance.
During his time at the University of Michigan, Ryan conducted research with Profs. Amy Cohn and Mark Daskin, focusing on industrial engineering applications to the aviation and healthcare industries. Part of this work was done as a part of the University of Michigan's Center for Healthcare Engineering and Patient Safety.
